While it's very attractive and exactly the size she wanted, the band is inferior to what she expected - its edges are straight cut, rather than rounded and polished, and, until it softens and wears a bit, will remain somewhat uncomfortable (scratchy and rough). Also, while I don't have the impression that this watch's movement is equivalent quality to the Seiko, it will probably provide adequate service for some time (at least we hope so).I felt that a better choice would've been a Citizen Eco Drive (for $123), but it was 8mm thick, while this watch is 6mm (compared to the Seiko's 5mm). I guess you get approximately what you pay for. But, as I said, it's very attractive, so didn't deserve to be rated less than four stars.
